I'm currently extending a PRTG system with notifications using Twilio (https://www.twilio.com/) for voice calls. It's relatively inexpensive and as it's designed for integration it can do a few tricks.

The intention is to write the script to keep calling with a text-to-speech notification of the issue that requires an affirmative response to silence it. By checking for a DTMF response we can avoid the possibility of someone answering the call while asleep and accidentally acknowledging the call :).

I currently use Nagios for all of our system and environment monitoring, but the one thing I have been missing is the ability to receive alerts via sms or recorded voice call.
So I was wondering what others have / are using?

I have recently found a company EDAC who seem to make all in one solutions, though I would prefer something to integrate with Nagios. http://www.edac.com.au
