<div dir="ltr">Being an avid supporter of the FTTH network (lets call it the NBN), I personally wish they would now prefer MT shut the program down until Labor can get back into power and get it back on the rails again.<div>
<br></div><div>In my opinion, the FTTH was expensive but invaluable, however this technology mix (lets call it PN for public network) is not going to solve a majority of the problems we have in place today - only the dire ones (like pair gain problems preventing any kind of fixed line networking at all). I can't see this network being financially viable - all I can see it doing is preventing the public from getting any kind of access to reliable high speed networking. I am expecting this will happen via a policy change that prevents even the 1km extension of fibre networks, killing our chances of fibre completely. Welcome to your network connections - much of a muchness from 2002-2040.</div>
