<html><body><div style="color:#000; background-color:#fff; font-family:HelveticaNeue, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, Lucida Grande, sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Is interesting. We have a service into Kununurra that went down yesterday afternoon at a similar time to the westnet outage fault start time. A fault was logged to Telstra on it this morning (after waiting for site to confirm power, reboot router, etc) and the info that came back was that a faulty cable pair was found between exchange and site and a tech would be sent to look into it. This update was after midday.<br><br>The service came back up an hour or so ago, which seems too quick for a tech to have gone out and fixed a faulty copper pair. If there was a fibre break into the area then I think it's much more likely that is the reason why our service went down (and restored again recently).<br><br>Telstra outages give this one that took down phones & ISDN in Kununurra:<br><br><a

of information being provided on the true cause of the outage.<br><br><br><br>regards,<br>Tony.<br><div><span><br></span></div><div><br></div> <div class="" style="font-family: HelveticaNeue, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, Lucida Grande, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> <div class="" style="font-family: times new roman, new york, times, serif; font-size: 12pt;"> <div dir="ltr"> <hr size="1"> <font face="Arial" size="2"> <b><span style="font-weight:bold;">From:</span></b> Karl W <shining_forces@hotmail.com><br> <b><span style="font-weight: bold;">To:</span></b> Kai <vk6ksj@westnet.com.au>; ausnog <ausnog@ausnog.net> <br> <b><span style="font-weight: bold;">Sent:</span></b> Thursday, 9 January 2014 2:08 PM<br> <b><span style="font-weight: bold;">Subject:</span></b> Re: [AusNOG] Telstra Outage ETR: Broome/Derby/Kunnunurra, WA?<br> </font> </div> <div class=""><br><div id="yiv2648556036"><style>#yiv2648556036 #yiv2648556036 --
