One question I have though - don't a lot of SMS spammers use Class-0? Might it be an anti-SMS spam mechanism?

Unfortunately I have seen a bit of class-0 spam lately, but at the same time I've seen a bit of regular SMS spam lately as well.. And out of curiosity, why does your app use Class-0 messages? For myself, I find them to be really annoying, unless they're carrying critical information from the carrier I'm using.

Yeah, I can't remember the initial reason - I think it was something to do with because some users had frequent updates, it saved them saving useless messages in their inbox, plus it looked sightly more 'professional' that it wasn't just a regular SMS from a mobile phone. iOS handled them really well, Android looks a little more alarming starting the notification with 'CLASS 0 MESSAGE'. I understand how ridiculous that saving space line sounds with the size of today's inboxes, heh.
