</p><div><p class="MsoNormal">Hi all,</p><div><p class="MsoNormal"> </p></div><div><p class="MsoNormal">My employer has a requirement for a 3G/4G SIM that will be put into an embedded device with a 3G/4G modem built into it. Telstra has been chosen as the preferred carrier because of superior coverage in general, but for the purposes of the testing we're doing at the moment, they're not an absolute requirement.</p>
</div><div><p class="MsoNormal"> </p></div><div><p class="MsoNormal">I'm familiar with the process to obtain a public IP on NextG (non CGN) with Telstra, but we've asked our communications partner (we don't deal direct with Telstra, as our account isn't big enough to warrant a dedicated account manager) if we can get a static IP, and they effectively looked at us like we had two heads, not even understanding the question, let alone the requirement for it.</p>
