I'm curious how the datacenters feel about potentially losing all this cross connect revenue. It has to be a pretty fair chunk of their profit. We all know that it doesn't cost $225/month (>$8k over 3 years) for 50m of fibre to sit in a tray, but we know that that 10Kva of redundant, protected power and cooling is worth every cent we pay for it.

I think Macca raised a reasonable point... everything on 1 physical port is crazy. But everyone else has made the obvious conclusion that Megaport[S] open up some fantastic options for us all. How exactly does the service work if we take 2 ports? Are they aggregated or active/standby ? Is it the same cost to take up the 2nd port?
