Definitely going to break down the current somewhat high inter-DC connectivity costs.<div><br></div><div>I think the model that they've come up with is a winner and I'd be awfully surprised if there isn't a significant amount of traffic (mainly on the VXC's) pretty shortly...as soon as the rollout has reached that critical mass.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I expect to see a LOT more connectivity between people (especially for those selling aggregation ports / last-mile access products), transit, cloudy stuff, etc. The current pain-in-arse of being in different DC's is pretty much going to go away. Heck, we all know what the cost of cross-connects _inside_ DC's is like at the moment.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I also think that forcing people to go 10G is a smart move.</div><div><br></div><div>We have our testing port up and running in Equinix - but yet to do any VXCs. Hopefully bringing on a Brisbane port shortly.</div>

I see it as a great idea.</div>
