TSHOOT is one that has been completed, the entire cert test was a series of simulations with things wrong, you are told “this does not work” and have to find the problem. They're just not the kind of people we need. In Networking, we do care about certs, or favour those willing to get them. This is only partly about the skill aspect, and more about vendor partner requirements which can help with purchasing discounts and so on - but some certs are just very good, like the new Juniper JNC<b>S</b>P range... excellent exams.<o:p></o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal>The guys from 1. above are good, and in some fields, certs don't matter... but they're often the hardest working of all as they know they need to prove themselves. The younger they are, the harder they are to manage. Never think a $35k guy is a good deal... you will spend another $10k-$15k just in managing them.
