<div><br></div><div>But kit in racks? The only people who should be relocating that are network engineers.</div><div><br></div><div>If you were moving between DC's and such you'd use specialists with trucks designed so they don't bounce a lot.</div>
<div><br></div><div>But inside a DC, there is still the same amount of planning of cabling, optics, power, configuations, etc.</div><div><br></div><div>By all means, get a third party to do it, but make sure they know their stuff.</div>

We have a couple of racks of networking kit that need to move from one comms room to another (the racks themselves are not moving, however), and my employer naturally forbids us from doing the work ourselves as they are likely worried about the risk of breaking a nail or something.<u></u><u></u></p>
