Centralised electronic rack locking was installed day one too all standard racks integrated on the proximity cards (with readers at the end of the rows). There may have been some racks with temporary keys at times due to immediate customer demand prior to locking being provisioned within the normal timeframes. If you’re describing DC3 then the racks are opened remotely using relay’s triggered by
PIPE staff remotely and there are 2 security doors you have to pass through to get to any racks within the facility.
