I did reach out to my network, including a number of people I know only through this list because traditional methods were not working. Thats got to be about the modern equivalent of door knocking.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Short of it being considered spam (depending on the individual), you might also email those people and ask them if they can refer you on to HR.</div><div><br></div><div>At least it looks like you're at least putting some effort in to trying to get a job, rather than sitting back and waiting (which might also be an indicator of your work ethic). <div><br></div><div>I think the key difference is that there is already a well established system for job seekers (agencies, websites, etc), so the occasional, very industry specific job ad posted here is much more "tolerable" than job seekers using it as a means to reach recruiters.</div>
