<div dir="ltr">FYI, <a href="http://yarrina.connect.com.au">yarrina.connect.com.au</a> also resolves and while <a href="http://uneeda.aarnet.edu.au">uneeda.aarnet.edu.au</a> is gone, <a href="http://uneeda.telstra.net">uneeda.telstra.net</a> resolves, as does <a href="http://jatz.telstra.net">jatz.telstra.net</a> and jatz,<a href="http://aarnet.edu.au">aarnet.edu.au</a> (the same host?), and none of the addresses have changed either!  DNS is a very sticky thing, and the older list members can laugh at some of the naming conventions, except that the Telstra ones only make sense when they were AARNet names...<br>

      Firstclass BBS server to Connect in Melbourne at 6am and 6pm to
      gateway through email and newsgroups.  I seem to remember having
      to blacklist the unimelb ftpmail gateway, as folks were running up
      our ISDN bill quite painfully!   Hmm, I note that warrane still
      resolves!<br>

      Wow, I just realised I've had the same email address for 20
      years!  Though I do use that email address as a spamtrap to feed
      our maia mailfilter now ;)<br>

              As I remember it when I connected Microplex Cisco AGS via
              a Telecom Microlink to a  T/A at 64k to the netblazer at
              .SU Microplex connected to port 2.  Port 1 was already

              (well the TA displayed CD)  So to my mind <a href="http://connect.com" target="_blank">connect.com</a> was first we were
              second. However we only provided shell accounts for the
              first few weeks before i wrote the  shell scripts on the
              SCO box that started slip sessions  allocated IP's etc. So
              im a bit unsure who sold the commercial IP accounts first.
              It was within weeks of AARNET providing connections to the
              first as they called them then "Affiliates" <br>
