<div><br></div><div>What my perspective is... it is too late to cry about it. There is nothing that can be done about the past, and very little we can do to change the situation. That is just how it is.</div><div><br></div>
<div>I do not think it is a disgraceful attitude to want to get over the past, and get on with the future. The IPv4 party is over. Let's do IPv6 better.</div><div><br></div><div>I did NOT say that people who don't have IPv4 have themselves to blame. My analogy is about people whinging about how they wished they'd done things differently in the past. They didn't, so get over it. There is NO value to non-stop whinging.</div>

I am starting to sound like Geoff Huston here.... </div><div><br></div><div>My support for the lowering of the assignment fee has been to SUPPORT those countries whose infrastructure was not developed enough in time to be a part of the v4 candy store. Countries with massive populations and low incomes will now be able to more easily obtain some of the v4 that is left... and that is an awesome thing.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Clearly you haven't been reading my posts, because I've been 200% supporting the start-ups, developing countries. And Yes, I have travelled the developing world and seen how internet access can make a difference. This is WHY I am involved with APNIC and spend my own money attending these conferences.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Look over the Ausnog archives and see how many times in the past 3-4 years I've TRIED in vain to get people involved in APNIC and it's policy process... only for those calls to fall on deaf ears. Even when the APNIC conference was held on the Gold Coast... how many Aussies got off their asses and went? Bugger all... even Brisbane and Gold Coast ISPs barely turned up.</div>
<div><br></div><div>As I said... no one seems to care until it directly affects them... and then it is 'whoa is me'. I am sorry if my 'Get over it' offends you or anyone else... but as blunt as that is... it is all you can do now. The only v4 left are scraps, and nothing at all that can be done to fix the situation.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I'm personally hurt and insulted that you think so little of everything I've done to try and be involved in the internet governance process... and trying to get local people involved.
