<p class="MsoNormal">Why are you surprised? I think it is more surprising that Pipe accommodated (in a variety of ways) Vocus for as long as they did, since they're clearly competitors. Pipe (or any commercial company) have no obligation to help out their competitors, unless it is mandated by the government, or there is a mutual benefit.<br>
<br>This is probably also a good thing for Vocus, as it will cause them to reduce their dependency on somebody who considers them to be a threat.<br><br>Pipe IXes may be good places to peer, but if they become less so, other parties will likely step in to take their place.<br>
