<br>Doing something meaningful with said data is less trivial but again isn't too hard really. Its really just a function of N x disk spindles and streaming write speeds.<br><br>Can this be done 'trivially' using off-the-shelf equipment? Actually it can. But its not necessarily cheap particularly for 40G/100G and clearly one needs a lot of disk spindles to sustain linerate and/or store for extended time periods.<br>
