</blockquote><div><br>It is valid for a caching nameserver to cache a negative DNS response, including SERVFAILs, albeit only for a limited time. but it may well be that their caching nameservers are somehow blocked from talking to whatever your authoritive servers are, hence keep re-(negative)-caching that lack of connectivity.<br>
