Personally for showing active links etc (similar to the Network
Weathermap) I use 'The Dude' ( <a moz-do-not-send="true"

) which is a free software, comes with its share of limitations
but is pretty feature rich and has a relatively simple learning
curve. Software runsunder Windows or Wine but has a web interface

href="http://imgur.com/gdrRm" target="_blank">http://imgur.com/gdrRm</a>
for a simple example map)<br>

That said I'd love to find something decent for providing that
sort of visibility that's open source and relatively new.<br>
