Funny you should say that because from what I've learnt if a politician knows all about one subject they tend to make the politicians role about something completely different. Idea is that a politician who is a network engineer would be too biased to properly fulfill the role of a communications minister..<br>

than the other way around ... politicians aren't going to be able to<br>
make value judgements on mechanisms, and conversely sometimes choose<br>
not to listen to the limitations of the mechanisms (URL<br>
filtering/recordig at NBN speeds and coverage?) if it doesn't suit their<br>
policies.<br>
