APNIC 30 which was to be held in Bangkok has had to change venue due to the
dangerous environment there at present.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#002060'>So... now that it is being held
in Australia, especially on the East Coast... does this mean that you –
Aussie ISP/IT guy will consider turning up?<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#002060'>I realise that when they are
overseas it can be hard to justify, hard to afford... but a lot of those
excuses are now gone.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#002060'>I have found the APNIC events to
be simply amazing, meeting people in our field from all over the world... not
only do people come from nearly all of APNIC’s 58 (I think) member
economic communities (we can’t call them countries as China may get
annoyed), but representatives from other regions also come along with some amazing
speakers. I personally have met many people I would now call friends who
have given me a new perspective on the internet community worldwide.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#002060'>I encourage you all, especially
those in Brisbane, Gold Coast and surrounds to come along... it will be something
