Not completely true at all, many employers think they know better then those who they pay to advise them on such matters, I could cite cases, but some people on this list might get their egos bashed, and I do have respect for those people, and, as David has asked everyone to play nice, I will refrain (something I'm not known for, as those who know me will tell you, *sigh* I must be gettin old)...

I agree the ramifications should be considered, so long as there is no direct inference I see no problem, like if someone came out and said publicly "I think my boss is a $%#$ he should never have participated in project X", posted with an employers email account and sig, then that calls for a please tone it down, and "whilst we are at it, why do you think its a bad idea i publicly support project X" .. if you can back it up, no problem, if your just bad mouthing your employer for the sake of it, then you should be told "it seems our company is not really the right place for you, dont you agree" :) Everything must be considered, including the context in which it was said.

Whilst we are at it, David, can you get this lists reply-to set ? I mean , we are all on here, and none of us need 2 copies of everything :)
