Ouch. Sounds like a nasty case of backhoe attenuation.<br>

Then again maybe not - the arcing you would get if you opened a feeder<br>
leg without a recloser to take them all cold simultaneously would not<br>
be pretty (especially if it's HVDC feed).<br>

These feeder lines aren't exactly thin/poorly signposted (you would<br>
have to think to yourself: "damn that's a thick root")<br>
