Following up on this thread that spun from 'Outsourcing Green Power' into peering with PCH to receive Google content during our trial deployment in Sydney, were going to be closing the trial deployment by COB Friday 25th October.
The purpose of the deployment was to collect data and to stress test a version of the underlying technology for what will soon be a permanent deployment supporting more Google Inc. products platforms - we collected the data we needed, it has helped us shape our future plans for originating content in Australia.
Any chance you can fill us in on the Google peering on Pipe/Equinix in
Sydney since your name seems to be all over it.

To give some background, we've made some Google/YouTube content available via the PIPE & Equinix exchanges as part of a limited test (yes, another Google Beta!) we're investigating how we can expand our program of delivering content via caches deployed outside of the Google/YouTube network. PCH have a great deal of engineering prowess and experience with deploying remote applications so we've asked Bill to help us during the testing period.

You'll see a small selection of Google/YouTube content behind the PCH ASN & I encourage you to peer with them. This will be a limited time trial long enough for us to collect lots of interesting network data ready for when we can make AS15169 and downstream available via the exchanges directly before the end of the year.
Okay, you guys know that if there were anything I could say, I would.
If you want information about Google peering, Maurice Dean's your man. mdean@google.com.

If, on the other hand, your interest were less in information and more in getting a route in your routing table that you might not have right now, you might open a ticket with peering@pch.net to turn up sessions with AS42 and AS3856.
