[AusNOG] Vocus dropping traffic to Microsoft?

Seems to be resolved now. Came and went several times over a couple of hours while using Vocus before MS reported an issue and has been OK since then.

For us, it was only when we tried to reach it over the Vocus path.
TPG/AAPT, Telstra and Superloop were OK.

I’ve seen OneDrive and SharePoint Service Alerts over the last several hours, and their Twitter feed tells a story.

I've had the same "Admin Notification" this afternoon, and also issues accessing Sharepoint at the same destination IP as Shane Clay has reported. My route to that IP goes via IX Australia, then Vocus.

Just had reports of Outlook desktop clients providing "Admin Notifications", stating issues with Sharepoint Online and OneDrive for Business .. Most likely related to what you're experiencing and would indicate an issue greater than Vocus.

Seems like they inserted a bad CNAME into the record for most tenants briefly. Looks like it's fixed now but the DNS caches are still catching up.

Scratch that. Seems to have come good just as I pressed send. Was broken for about 45 minutes.
Did get some confirmation from another network that was seeing the same.

Hi All

Is anyone else seeing Vocus drop traffic to some Microsoft services starting about 40 mins ago? Specifically, Sharepoint Online.

Example IP: 13.107.136.9
