16509 takes a while 45 days or more to get back to peering request…

A good contact is Tim Bates tdb at amazon.com but the best bet is to give it time… Also their policy is selective

Be patient it will happen

Amazon is quite widely known for doing bilats only over Public IXs - they just prefer it that way.
I have also responded privately with some further advice.

It looks like 16509 peers on IX Australia IXPs also - and their looking glass pages are linked from the website:

Hi Damian,

The other option would be to try a public IX in Sydney.

16509 is listed at both MegaIX and Equinix IX, however the Multi-Lateral peering for 16509 is only up on Equinix, so you could try that line too if you have gear in one of their facilities. I can’t check what is being advertised, but I’m sure someone on here might let you know…

There are some prefixes from 16509 on MegaIX but are via HE 6939.

Cheers,

Bill

Hi Damian,

I'm not sure bi-lateral peering could be arranged with them due to the nature of their business, however they offering a peering product you could use to save on outbound to AWS endpoints and inbound from AWS resources in accounts you own: https://aws.amazon.com/directconnect/features/

You can also connect via Megaport.

Cheers,

Paul.

Hi all,

Is there anyone from AWS on list who can put me in touch with the
peering guys at AWS for Sydney to organise some bi-lateral peering. I
have emailed the entry in peeringdb (peering at amazon.com<mailto:peering at amazon.com>) several times
over the last few weeks with no response.

Thanks

Damian
