[AusNOG] Virtual Mobile Numbers?

I have seen information from Telstra Wholesale showing that they are supporting (or due to be) porting mobile numbers to their CTS product, as well as offering SMS gateways.

Not sure if this qualifies for what you mean as "virtual mobile" numbers?

Hi Skeeve,

Depending on how you define it, yes, its possible to achieve today.

Pivotel seems to be offering their services via some 3rd parties such as Twilio - this means access to number porting and the like.

For Consumer it is expensive and ill timed though - with the advent of $10 unlimited call Sims.

Hey all,

I know there was a push from some and resistance from the big boys for Virtual Mobile numbers.

But did this happen/get through?

Thanks... hope you are enjoying your Sunday evening.
