[AusNOG] I was thinking of switching my IPv6 tunnel to HE's pop in Sydney ...

It’s 2018 and this is a community full of network operators who can carry native IPv6 if they wish.

There is an industry-wide failure to address what’s really a demand for IPv6 packet delivery which is being manifested as a demand for tunnels because that’s the only way of getting IPv6 packet delivery in this country.

Maybe that’s a problem that’s more worthy of a solution than HE’s routing policies.

Global IPv6 capability is somewhere between 18% and 22%, depending on when you measure it.
https://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/statistics.html <https://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/statistics.html>
(it has a weekly rhythm: Peaks 4% higher on weekends because the predominance of IPv4-only enterprise traffic drops off)

Australian adoption is around 15%, which is a year and a half behind the global average. Fix that, and you won’t have to care one iota about HE’s tunnels anymore.
