Ditto. Calls from telstra mobiles to our 1300 service are failing, as are outbound calls over our SIP to 1300 numbers. EFTPOS and PSTN are also down in our building. Our telstra account rep advised that the impact was sev 1 as of 15:45 and was being looked at as a matter of urgency.

Sent from my BlackBerry iPhone Galaxy Tab 11 smartphone on the TelVodOpt Mobile network.

Calls from Telstra mobiles in Adelaide to our AAPT and Amcom SIP trunks started failing around the time this was reported.

Still not working at the moment.

That'd be my guess. With as many rectifier systems as Telstra run nationally it doesn't surprise me that one lets go now and again.

Haven't heard anything about impact so far, apparently was put out using a hand held fire extinguisher.

Saw one puzzling report that 'Flames have been seen coming from the Telstra Exchange building on Waymouth St'. Not sure how that works when there's no windows ;)

Reports say fire is out and was on Level 2 of the exchange.

Level 2 according to a Telstra mate has an AXE PSTN switch and a power room.

There are fire trucks out the front of the building and Police are closing off Waymouth.

There seems to be a confirmed fire in the Telstra exchange building on Waymouth St in the Adelaide CBD. Unsure what will be effected. Just giving the heads up.
