[AusNOG] NBN VDSL Speeds | Line Sync | Determining Max Throughput

Your ADSL sync won't really help give you any idea as to your likely VDSL
sync, as ADSL is you->pillar->exchange (or you->pillar->rim, or in some
cases you->pillar->rim->exchange), where as VDSL will be you->pillar->node.
  If you have access to an SQ tool which provides cabling detail, you can
punch your phone number in and pull back your cabling records, to see how
far from the pillar you are.  The node is usually < 100m from the pillar.
Once you have the distance, and the number of joints, you have a pretty
good idea of your sync speed :)
