[AusNOG] Favourite USB to serial adapter cable

I work with one of these.

Uses a Texas Instruments TIUSB3410 chip instead of the usual FTDI/Prolifics.

But I have been eyeing these off lately..

Thanks
Matt

I use a PL2303 on Mac. Works fine in iTerm2/Terminal (or whatever you desire to use) using screen + quick script to control ( http://pastebin.com/KWYPPubE ).

I have the drivers too, so contact if required. Keep in mind that your Mac will kernel panic if you pull/knock the USB cable out while a session is open. Happened many times while having my cable dangling over the top of a cabinet door!

I bought it from an .au website, will dig through my email later and send to you directly.

Cheers,
Matt.
