Telstra wasn't quoted saying anything about faulty devices. The article
drew that IMHO unwarranted conclusion, but what Telstra was *quoted* as
saying was that the outage was "caused by a device in the network
behaving in a way that wasn't expected". Which covers a lot of
territory.
