I think that is one of the problems of our profession. Most of what we do looks like magic. So when we can't do something, a lot of people probably just assume we don't know the right magic, or are choosing not to use enough of it.

No, I have never seen that, but I assure you the other 
engineers in my group will shortly because that's exactly 
what I'm talking about.  With the mgrs, idiotic meetings 
and everything!
