[AusNOG] Mass AAPT outages after tonight's scheduled maintenance

This isn't a realistic view on things in any way, we've had more Telstra outages than AAPT in the last 36 months and the outage being discussed in this thread was as the result of a SCHEDULED change which everyone was notified of over 14 days ago, AAPT just let it stretch all the way to the end of the window.

Yes AAPT have had 2 very disruptive outages this year but last night was works to try to avoid these in the future, I'll take AAPT's assurance over Telstra or Optus any day of the week, if you've had to deal with all of the third party providers mentioned you wouldn't think TPG has done much to damage PIPE or AAPT's network or reputation at all thus far.

This is my thoughts exactly, these low end carriers turn a successful and profitable ISP it's a mess.

Let's just take a moment to see what they did to PIPE.

When everything starts to fail these is when they oversell to make a profit as customers leave in droves

There are quite a few major outages coming from AAPT at the moment.

Anyone know what is going on over there? The good people moved on after the TPG takeover? Is this what will happen to iinet?

Is anyone else see a bunch of AAPT outages this morning after their scheduled maintenance at 2am tonight?

I got my first alarm at 02:13, things didn't come back here until 05:10
