I agree, rightly or wrongly I think this will be viewed by the ACCC as stronger competition for Optus/Telstra/Voda rather than less competition overall.

I can’t help but wonder what the general consensus will be amongst loyal iinet customer base? ie what portion of them will see this as likely to impair the reputation for good customer service, or the public stance on privacy etc etc and if such sentiments could result in a significant churn..

I for one will be watching whingepool with interest from my new ISP.
