No both of those forms of malware distribution are as bad as each other, 
hence why I mentioned about needing to filter both inbound and outbound 
content, as a lot of open source scripts such as Wordpress have a habit 
of being compromised and get used for redirecting users to sites with 
malware etc.
Which is ware tools such as CXS come in handy.
As well as Ironport for the anti spam side of things.
