Yeah,  computers tend to cope pretty well with this stuff, its the 
humans fiddling about with settings that tends to cause issues.
The only things that mess the system up is when you introduce new bits 
of technology, or if you have a migration script that doesn't work how 
its supposed to and it throws the entire process out.
This is where automation comes in handy as it takes the human error out 
of the process.
