Thanks for the comment Skeeve,

I also got sponsored last year on a 457 while being in the country on a Working Holiday visa. There's no difference nowadays. That went all pretty smooth within less than two weeks. There wasn't even a Migration Agent utilised and the bureaucrism was surprisingly minor.

The business's fee would be three hundred Aussie dollars or so. The bigger chunk is on the applicants side with a grand per head.

Cheers
Maik

It is hard to do a 457 in country... he would likely have to leave and come back.. and a delay of 3 months, and 3-4k.... plus the company being approved.....

AND there would be a need for him... something you can't find local, and you need to prove you tried.

Hey guys,

Happy new Year!

Is someone on list currently looking for Sysadmins (permanent role) in the Melbourne area? One of my mates is currently looking for job opportunities down there. He also would have the requirement of getting sponsored on a 457 visa - which I am afraid will be quite a hurdle to overcome.

Being not that long in the country his network of contacts is not that developed yet so I'd like to check out this channel too if you don't mind.
