You are correct Bradley, it’s not an apples to apples comparison.
 
With these services Telstra are selling they can only be Internet, nothing else, no multiple vlan options, no QOS options, no improved SLA, etc, however, it’s a matter of convincing the customer of the benefits you can offer them with a service you can provide via another technology and why it’s more money, but in many cases they customer may just want Internet and won’t care about the other fancy features, and TW customers don’t have access to this product from what I have been told by TW so there is no way to compete with it unless you can do some pretty good bundling.

Too bad you’re not comparing apples with apples
Your comparing a Enterprise Grade 1 to 1 fibre service from a global Telco to a GPON residential grade service that is delivered over a shared medium

We have a client who went direct with TPG for a 400/400MBit - Unlimited Fibre installed for $400/month. 
 
The premise has existing fibre supplied by AAPT, but even still I thought it was incredibly cheap... Perhaps a sign of things to come?
