[AusNOG] Mixing tech stuff

Interesting idea, I'm still very sceptical on traction but if it's doable we should know soon enough.

Good idea though, simply include a third corridor or use the cabling one (which I assume would be electrical) and bam, instant path for rollout.

Can you imagine the political football they will be passing around with the budget for both of these combined though? It'd get started, just to see the Libs pull it in favour of PFTP (power from the plant) for a big made up cost saving, all while reusing the existing power cabling we have!

Thanks,
Ayden Beeson

Hi

So I was reading something that I think it rather a good idea and that got me to thinking why it wouldn't happen in Australia ..

http://www.smh.com.au/comment/on-the-hot-road-to-cooler-highways-20140618-zsd94.html

But it also got me thinking why you couldn't mix this with say a NBN roll out. If you are redoing major roads couldn't you also install fibre... Share the cost of a Fibre NBN roll out. Seems like a win win win...

I still dream about a NBN fttp ...
