[AusNOG] Remote Managed PDU

I have 2 of those models, I would never use them for mission critical,
there buggy, sometimes ports don't even switch until after a couple of
goes (this is via the web interface), I believe the "serial/telnet"
interface is more reliable.
The firmware "feels" like it's just cut and paste of apps to get it to
work.

They are "just" ok for the lab, but I would hunt around first, use them as
a last resort/super cheap option.

Regards,
Adam Niedzwiedzki

Hey all,

Thanks to Daniel and a couple of others... these look like the most
economical and seem to be available easily.

They are made my Aviosys I think, but they OEM them to a few others and
are about $220.

Hey guys,

We've setup a new lab which will mostly be accessed remotely.

I don't really want to leave the bigger routers online all the time, so I
want to be able to have them turned on and off as needed.

I know APC makes remotely managed power rails, but they are somewhat
expensive.

Does anyone know any reasonably priced units with maybe 4-6 independently
manageable power sockets, either via Telnet, SSH or web.

Thanks.
