[AusNOG] Transit over Megaport - who?

Hey Sean,

I understand what Macca is saying... but I don't agree... because tbh, it
seems to assume that Megaport is some sort of inferior service. It is just
a fabric like any other... they just happen to sell adhoc access across it.

No single point of failure is a good thing... but I see absolutely NOTHING
wrong with running essential services over Megaport.

If it is good enough for full Direct Connect into AWS over Megaport, I am
sure that if you have multiple transit providers and one of them was over
Megaport... how could anyone see this as an issue?

To address the below... I do not think Megaport (or other similar concepts)
as a last-effort path. If Vocus, Australia IX, FirstPath, Pipe was
offering the same service, it should still all be considered to be of a
high-grade service - no matter what we think of the personalities or
business competitiveness involved.

But, would I take some whole aggregation over it... like BigAir, or some
other tail provider... hell yeah. And it was that valueable and worth
while, I'd get redundant connections.

And IF other business models like this pop-up, then I'd join them as well
if they had interesting services on them.
