Hi Burt,

It looks like they are blocking Ping requests to their server.  When debugging a issue I find using mtr work a lot better than trace or ping as it will often be able to show you a little more information.

You might be better off posting your issue to the VoIP thread on Whirlpool if you don't get any response from AusNOG - http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum/107
