[AusNOG] Optus Contact

I get the feeling from this list and previous experience that both Optus and TPG are terribly hard to get a hold of, good luck with it guys!

Thanks,
Ayden Beeson

Hi All,

I'm hoping most of you have had a chance to at least have a quick look at my presentation by now.

I'm now after technical contacts for three of the four most prominent Telco's that are present in the Australian data (slide 44 of my presentation). I am hoping to work with someone fairly technical in helping deal with the problem of vulnerable devices through default logins on telnet on their infrastructure.

I'm after (generic and/or non-generic) technical and security focused contact details for: TPG, Optus and iiNet.

The IP ranges for these three and Telstra represent 75% of compromised devices in Australia. I already have generic email for Telstra which I'll use but if someone here form Telstra wants to contact me directly please feel free.

Could someone from these three please contact me off-list? If someone has good contacts in any of them, could you either a) forward my email to them asking them to contact me or b) email me their contact details off-list?

I will be providing them with the part of the data that is relevant to their network.

Cheers,

Parth

I have a 1 Gbit ?E-Link? Optus service in my office and have attempted since last October to get a second somewhere else with no luck.

They don?t seem to be interested in selling their Ethernet service. If you do get a decent contact, please do let me know as I am still keen.

Just putting this out there - if they can't be bothered picking up the phone before you buy the service what makes you think they will afterwards?

Hi all,

Currently looking at racks in Global Switch SYD1 and I'm trying to get an idea of which service providers are in each MMR. The plan is to aim for the end of the building with the right mix of carriers to minimise cross connect costs.

Responses off-list are preferred, happy to summarise on-list once the responses are in if there is interest.

Cheers,
Cameron

the Optus NOC is amazing, and the NOC manager has also been in contact with me on a few occasions and is also extremely helpful.
