What you're asking is somewhat in the territory of trade secrets, but there
are some fairly easy static things you can use, such as what james says.
More details of how and what this impacts in your business and what exactly
you mean by contention ratio would be useful.

Just so you know, scale plays a role in this, but it very much depends on
the ratio as to how much scale actually matters.

If you want to take it to skype or something like that I've got 5+ years of
data from all sorts of businesses at all sorts of scales that might help
you narrow down those numbers.
