[AusNOG] 23 VOIP phones for sale

Throwing on my AusNOG board hat, it's worthwhile to note a few things.

1) 'We' are watching and have a discussion underway amongst the AusNOG directors.

2) AusNOG was constructed for the exchange of technical information. Pure and simple. It has been that mandate which has kept the list free of endless rounds of sales pitches and verbiage bordering on flippant statements either by vendors, or against vendors. (Trust me, I've seen that occur elsewhere - it doesn't end nicely)

3) We have noticed an increase recently of sales type emails where AusNOG participants are notifying the list of used equipment or IP address blocks for sale. (and the ensuing thread of discussion which follows such a post, like this thread)

All I am willing to say, at this point, is that we are discussion options.

With that, I'd like to see this thread stop here.

Cheers
Terry

Instead of asking and waiting for AUSNOG to put it up I really don't see why some one else cant host it for now(exception being the promotion of it), and if AUSNOG decides to create one down the road, move everyone over, it's not like mailman is the most complex thing around :P
