[AusNOG] IPv6: Vocus connects to the 'Other' side of the Australian Internet via IPv6 within Australia.

Look I think it's simple.

At a certain point you need trust rather than control.

I think you should be required by network engineer secret handshake law to have had a beer with someone, in person, before plugging in and announcing routes to each other.

Ye who has more prefixes pays.

What's your rant about SDN?

It's all right, because PKI is going to save us! Never mind that the SSL CAs can't get it right - the RIRs and network engineers will.

Apologies for the ranty tone. I'm almost as enthusiastic about RPKI as I am about SDN.

With all these /48s flying around being announced by various people, who/what is controlling legit announcing? Unless I'm missing something RADB doesn't seem anywhere near as up to date (well done Mark for keeping Internodes' up to date).?

I thought we already were.

To anyone who wants to dip their toe in the water: SAGE-AU is just getting started with
a scheme whereby they'll provide an LOA for a /48 assignment out of 2406:c500::/32 to
each and every member, so they can announce it as they see fit.

/48's are likely to be accepted more or less everywhere. If you're a network operator and
you're not accepting them, have a good hard look at yourself and ask why.
