[AusNOG] Asterisk - WHMCS Intergration

Hello Timothy

I apologies for my incorrect spelling of the word in question, how ever do you really need to flame someone on an open mailing list? I would of thought the nicest thing would be to email them directly and alert them to the fact rather then to flame. Thats just my opinion.

Ok, I can't help myself: is it me or is the spelling on this list getting worse?

The word is 'integration'

There is only one 'r'.

This might help: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Authenticate+Users+by+Caller+ID+or+PIN+-+password found it in google - https://www.google.com.au/#bav=on.2,or.r_cp.r_qf.&fp=f641e21f578b275&q=pin+authentication+asterisk<https://www.google.com.au/#bav=on.2%2cor.r_cp.r_qf.&fp=f641e21f578b275&q=pin+authentication+asterisk>

You could always just have WHMCS dump a file of the PIN numbers to be used into a DB on asterisk based on the above links.

Also I do not recommend that you connect freepbx to whmcs unless its VERY secure as there has been a few recent hacks out there.

Also, not really sure if this is a Network Operators kind of Question…. Prob better off over here: http://www.asterisk.org/community/discuss, but I hope my above links help anyway.

Cheers,

Jared

 Gday Noggers

I was wondering if anybody might have some ideas, other then saying to get a programmer to code something up for me.

I have seen it done before, and what i am after is a module for asterisk/freepbx that will communicate with WHMCS,

What i would like to achieve from this, is a section on WHMCS client profile for a security pin, and when they call through for support, it asks them to enter in their customer ID and the PIN in their profile

Any reply's on or off list would be appreciated, Even other alternatives will be considered :D

Have a great evening guys, And Gals :D

Cheers

Daniel
