[AusNOG] Request for Internode NOC contact

Hey Peter,

Don't have a NOC contact unfortunately, but;

I have been working with Node the last few days as I am seeing traffic going missing between DRW and ADL. Not sure if it's related to what you're experiencing but from what I have seen intermittently I cannot get any traffic to flow from loop0.lns20.drw1.internode.on.net through to bdr2.adl6.internode.on.net. Any traffic that goes out via Brisbane is however fine. Unfortunately what I am seeing is DNS requests to 192.231.203.132 and 192.231.203.3 never reach those DNS servers as the traffic is trying to go from lns20.drw1 to bdr2.adl6 and doesn't appear to re-route via Brisbane/Sydney when no traffic flow is occurring.

>From what an engineer told me last night they have an internal advisory for data flow issues from bdr2.adl6 and it appears a lot of the traffic is routing around it via Brisbane/Sydney instead, however some of the traffic is just disappearing. Just thought it'd be worth letting you know in case it's a similar issue. :)

Subject: [AusNOG] Request for Internode NOC contact

Hey all,

Could someone from the Internode NOC contact me off list for some assistance in dianosing some traffic we're seeing 'going missing' at bdr2.adl6.internode.on.net (inbound to us).

We've confirmed the behaviour from 3x internode DSL connections in SA and the Internode LG.

Sorry for the list spam.

Cheers,
Peter Adkins
