[AusNOG] SecurITon / RackCentral DC - Updated OutageNotification

I thought there was a RFC for signature for ML. but seems it is more for usenet (http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3676#section-4.3)

The key thing being that signature start with - - as a separate between body and sign.. So its easy for programs to strip off signatures (oh I miss mutt :) )

I must be getting old to miss the gold old days :)

+1 to that, your signature is 15 lines long :) I can certainly understand the frustration when on a mobile device, is there something perhaps that could be added to AusNOG software to remove them for those like you who have little choice in the matter?

The signature thing is interesting. We've just switched to a new system that appends it for us. So for NOG posts I now have no way to stop my full signature from being sent. Unless I use my personal email address.

I need to discuss this with IT! :-)

I agree with Jared though that shorter signatures are helpful, especially when reading on a mobile device.
