[AusNOG] AAPT Issues?

Sorry to be a downer, but, AAPT are horrible as of late.

We use TPG, and Eftel, Eftel being cheaper, are we missing something? Is AAPT cheap? They're not good, I've worked that part out...

Just trying to work out why..

I've tested out TPG primary link, everything is hunky dory. All reports show OK.

I seem to be able to transverse AAPT networks, seems to be getting stuck at : 203.63.17.117, when it leaves Pipe and hits AAPT seems to go wonky. But that could just be firewalls killing ICMP.

Not sure if it's related but we've got reports of routing issues from TPG at this point, however, the issues appear to originate within the AAPT network.

10.248.21.3 hop seems to die, 10.248.21.1 comes up as an alternative sometimes and routes correctly.

We are having similar issues as well. We thought it was PIPE IP transit but it appears to be wider.

Customers on Telstra, Optus, etc, are not getting to us but it's not constant. AAPT traceroute dies as well.

We are seeing customers with APPT and Optus (coming through AAPT) intermittently having their traffic dropped. Interestingly, traceroutes often succeed, and then HTTP traffic is dropped. Is anyone else seeing similar issues with AAPT this morning?

Best,

Gary
