[AusNOG] [off topic] AUSNOG's "Break Glass in Case of Emergency" :)

I recall seeing a thread from last year that suggested having a lot of these kind of things available from a vending machine inside an organised data centre. Still think its a great idea personally, that way there is no risk for theft, if you don’t have a Phillips head screwdriver handy you can buy one from the vending machine. Etc etc.

Now your all just being silly :P

I'm surprised someone hasn't posted this<http://memegenerator.net/instance/11753177> already

Bringing it back on topic

Adding to the screwdriver thing - Large Phillips Head (for the cage nuts/screws)
Cage nut applicator
USB KB + Mouse
USB flash drive
Cable testing aparatus.

I think a lot of the suggestions, including mine, go more towards an on hand tool kit that would find regular use in a DC setting as opposed to a purely emergency kit. What I am getting at is a well organised DC would likely have a lot of the suggestions on hand in a regular tool kit

Main issue I see would be making sure people don't accidentally leave the DC with pieces of said tool kit and hence the next guy goes to use something and ends up having that "Oh shit" moment when the thing he needs isn't there.
